David Stirling, Dr. David Hill, and Greg Cook are currently visiting Taiwan and Japan to introduce people in those countries to dōTERRA's Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils.
"On this trip we have gained a better understanding of how the Chinese people have been using essential oils for hundreds of years. However, it is clear that no other company offers the purity and quality of dōTERRA essential oils in the market. Thus, we have been able to introduce the Chinese people to dōTERRA's Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils, and we have also been able to introduce the use of oils internally. We are here supporting some very enthusiastic customers, and we are VERY excited about the prospect of officially opening these markets as soon as we have an established customer base," said Greg Cook, Vice President, International & Operations.
dōTERRA is currently working to provide online sign-ups and shopping in both Chinese and Japanese, and has recently printed Introductory Kit booklets in Chinese and Japanese. Also available are Chinese and Japanese IPC Agreements, which are found in Virtual Office/Tools/Business/International Forms.

What I want for Mother’s Day
By Becky Cox

1. Nummy tiny lemon muffins with Lemon essential oil not made by me.
2. 60 minutes of uninterrupted silence so I can shave in peace and soak in Lavender and Spa bath salts.
3. Foot massage using Lavender and Peppermint administered by my favorite massage therapist, Mike Cox.
4. Mike has to put a tiny dab of Vetiver on his wrists so I can sniff him all day. Mmmmmm…..

Be On Guard—Swine Flu and other Infectious Risks

Unfortunately, germs and our exposure to them are a regular occurrence. As resistance and new strains continue to develop, we are at an increasing risk for serious infection.
I realize that there are many discussion threads regarding the potential dangers concerning the swine flu and other infectious health risks. There is much in the way of scientific medical research which demonstrates the efficacy of essential oils against a variety of pathogenic germs. Naturally occurring compound groups such as alcohols, phenols and aldehydes are often identified as being the most beneficial. I feel confident that it is a reasonable and responsible approach to use essential oils daily in a model of prevention and for resolution of symptoms in the cases of exposure.

In general, reducing our exposure and enhancing immune protection is our best defense. I suggest using dōTERRA essential oils in the following way:

1. Establish the daily routine of applying On Guard on the bottom of feet (for yourself as well as family members) both morning and night, which creates long-lasting and consistent protection.

2. Diffuse dōTERRA essential oils in your home routinely throughout the day. On Guard and your favorite citrus oil combined is a potent and uplifting aroma.

3. Drink plenty of water. Adding a few drops of your favorite citrus oil will enhance your body’s natural defenses.

4. Viruses and bacteria are found in staggering numbers on surfaces. Use essential oils to thoroughly clean and disinfect all surfaces you and your family come in contact with. A mixture of Wild Orange, On Guard, and Thyme is especially potent. Diluting the mixture with water in a small glass spray bottle can easily be used anywhere, anytime. Simply spray and wipe for germ-free surfaces on the go.

5. Wash and wipe your hands using essential oils. Adding essential oils to your favorite soap increases effectiveness.

6. Use essential oils in combination to enhance their germ fighting benefits. The essential oils of On Guard (dōTERRA’s natural defense blend), Oregano, and Thyme are a critical part of your family’s protection plan. At the onset of any infection this combination used internally by capsule ingestion or on the bottom of the feet can offer quick relief and elimination.

7. Maintain the basis of personal health through appropriate supplementation. Using dōTERRA Lifelong Wellness pack has immune sustaining benefits for your entire family. With an ORAC score of nearly 6000 per serving, every cell in your body is fortified.

Using CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade™ essential oils is a safe and consistent approach to safeguarding individual and family health.

Yours in Health,

Dr. David Hill

Geranium Essential Oil

The essential oil of geranium is gently steam distilled from the leaves, stalks, and flowers of the plant. It has a sweet, floral-lemony scent that can be bitter to the taste. Although geranium is a stimulating and refreshing essence, it also has calming properties. Nervous tension and depression may be improved by breathing in the beautiful aroma of geranium.* It has also been found to have antiseptic properties.

Geranium is commonly used for menopausal issues, pre-menstrual tension, fluid retention, and challenges arising from fluctuating hormone levels. The sedative properties of geranium encourage relaxation and pain tolerance.

The essential oil of geranium has become a cherished favorite to those with excessive dry or oily skin. Its balancing effect on the skin helps to calm inflamed skin tissue.

Key compounds found in geranium are citronellol, citronellyl formate, geraniol, linalool, linalyl acetate, and geranyl acetate.

dōTERRA Dr. Mom Kit Survey Results

Our latest blog survey asked the following question:
Which essential oil blend in the Dr. Mom kit do you use most frequently?

Here are the results starting with the most frequently used blend:
1. On Guard (50%)
[Editor's note: Smart choice, since On Guard helps prevent the onset of illness!]
2. Breathe (22%)
[Makes sense that it's the second most-used blend, since respiratory issues are a big concern during the winter months and are an on-going concern for those with asthma.]

3. Deep Blue (18%)
[It's great to have Deep Blue since we frequently encounter discomfort due to everyday activities or chronic conditions.]

4. DigestZen (9%)
[Stomachaches, nausea, and perhaps heartburn or acid reflux can take its toll. Keep a bottle of DigestZen handy all the time!]

Thanks for participating, and be sure to also leave comments on our blog! We love to hear from you and will soon be offering giveaways to encourage more participation!

Pure Essential Oils Offer Healthcare Solutions During Difficult Economic Times

According to the latest statistics, the current recession has many people suffering from more than just economic woes. Many people have been experiencing an increase in stress and anxiety, which has led to many sleepless nights and a host of health concerns.

Pure, natural essential oils are an affordable, safe way to address these concerns.

Reduce Stress:
Several essential oils are ideal for elevating mood and helping one regain a positive outlook.
Lavender, Wild Orange, Lemongrass, Peppermint, and Lemon essential oils. Diffuse any one of these, or create your own uplifting blend!

According to a recent report in USA TODAY by Michelle Healy, "Use of prescription sleep aids nearly tripled among young adults from 1998 to 2006, according to a study by Thomson Reuters. A study of medical and drug claims data found a 50% increase in use of the drugs among adults under 45. But perhaps the most startling finding was the increase in use of sleep aids among adults 18 to 24. Use in this age group rose to 1,524 users per 100,000 in 2006, up from 599 users per 100,000 in 1998."

Several of doTERRA's pure essential oils provide a safe, all-natural remedy without side effects.

Start Snoozing:
Studies have documented the effectiveness of lavender essential oil to induce sleep, Geranium essential oil for its ability to ease anxiety and tension and calm the mind, and Serenity Calming Blend for its ability to promote restful sleep.

My Faves:
1. Massage a few drops of Lavender, Geranium, or Serenity to the bottom of the feet before going to bed.
2. Add a few drops of Lavender, Geranium, or Serenity to a spray bottle filled with water and spritz bed linens and pillow before bedtime.
3. Add several drops of Lavender, Geranium, or Serenity to warm bath water and enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub.
4. Diffuse Lavender, Geranium, or Serenity in your room to create a relaxing, sleep-inducing environment.

dōTERRA's Dr. Mom Kit--Because Mom Knows Best!

Yesterday morning, my oldest son woke up with a sore throat. That achy, scratchy, yucky kind of sore throat that no one likes to have. The day before, my youngest daughter had a cut on her leg that was bleeding. That same day, my other daughter was complaining about a cold sore in her mouth.

Each and every day I am Dr. Mom in my home, taking care of my kids' scrapes, bumps, and bruises. But instead of turning to over-the-counter medications, I use essential oils to care for these types of common occurences. So to soothe my son's sore throat, I gave him a teaspoon of honey with lemon essential oil to swallow, and he felt better right away! To help cleanse the cut on my daughter's leg and help avoid scarring, I put lavender essential oil on the cotton pad of a bandage and placed it over the cut. Then I put melaleuca essential oil on a Q-tip and applied it to my other daughter's mouth for her cold sore.

dōTERRA's essential oils are pure and all-natural, and are the most nurturing way to care for your family's everyday health needs. The new dōTERRA Dr. Mom kit contains nine nurturing essential oils for all your family's health needs. It's amazing how simple it is to use essential oils in caring for loved ones, and how much better they feel.

In anticipation of strong sales, dōTERRA is offering pre-order sales March 1- March 18, with guaranteed shipment by March 18. Click here for more details!

This fun, FREE event for the entire family will take place:
