Dear Friends and Consultants of dōTERRA,

We wish to express our deep gratitude for another amazing month of huge growth and consultant success for our fledgling company. August was by far our largest month since we began selling product with significant revenue increases and record numbers of new product consultants joining our dōTERRA family. You have far exceeded our expectations for what are traditionally the hardest two months of the year in our industry, July and August. We are now gearing up for what should be the largest growth period of the year, kicked off by our upcoming Launch Celebration and Training Conference. We have a full schedule in September that includes pre-launch events in more than 15 major cities, and the introduction of weekly online "Webinars" every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm MST.  Please refer to the events section of doterra.com for more details.

Launch Celebration and Training Conference

We had a great response to the publication of our 2008 Launch Celebration and Training Conference schedule of events, and many took advantage of our early registration promotion. If you did not register before August 31, you still have a chance! Join us on October 17 and 18 for two days of intensive essential oil training from industry and wellness experts. We will be introducing our new line of Lifelong Wellness nutritionals and other new essential oil products at the event so you won’t want to miss it! “As a massage therapist and educator, I have applied essential oils to hundreds of people including children, adults, and senior citizens with great results. Unfortunately, attempts to apply oils to my husband resulted in a severe skin reaction causing him to break out in small bumps that would itch and scab over. I was working as a distributor for another essential oil company and they told me he must be “defective” or “toxic” in some way, and I resigned myself to the fact that he could not benefit from using essential oils. I was then introduced to dōTERRA’s Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils by a trusted friend, and I decided to carefully give them a try on my husband. We applied a small amount of oregano, which would normally cause a severe reaction, to his back before he went to bed, and in the morning he was fine. Product Tip of the Week

“I am an avid mountain biker and am constantly trying to keep my flexible backpack water flask and drinking tube free of mold and other yucky residue for my next ride. I tried adding three or so drops of dōTERRA lemon essential oil to my water before a recent ride and, not only did it add a refreshing lemon twist, my flask smelled lemon fresh the next time I rode. I since tried a drop or two of peppermint oil on days I need a little pick-me-up and it also calms my digestion of sports bars and drinks that sometime upset my stomach during rides.”

New dōTERRA Typography Standards

In an effort to create brand equity through the consistent use of our name and logo, we will no longer use the upper-case “DōTerra” version of our company name in typewritten content. Instead, we will only use a lower-case lead letter “d” and “ō” and upper case “TERRA” to more closely mimic the typography of our logo mark, “dōTERRA.”

The only exception to this typography standard will be the use of an “o” without a top line for non-HTML viewing of e-mails. We ask for your patience as we make these updates to existing company materials, and we encourage you to follow this standard in your future communications that include our company name, dōTERRA.

(To insert the top line above the “o” in Microsoft Word, go to Insert, then Symbol, find the appropriate character on the pop-up palette, and then press Insert. The “ō” character is available in common san-serif fonts such as Arial or Franklin Gothic and is also available in Times Roman. You can also set up an automatic replace function in Microsoft Word using the AutoCorrect Option in the Spelling & Grammar tool.)
